I can honestly say that I have learned more in this class than I have learned in my 14 years of attending school. The Wall Street Journal was more affective than reading straight from a text book. When you read something from a school text book you don't feel as close to what they are talking about as when you read a newspaper article. It's current news that is happening as the days go on. When reading a textbook it's bland and full of a ton of fluff that people generally skip over. I have found that my study habits for this class have actually worked as I cut the articles out and read them over before the quizzes. It gives me insight to not only ace the quiz but insight in life in general.
I don't think I plan to renew my subscription right now, only because I am going back down to Miami for the summer. But I do think that I might renew it for next semester. I like the way I could open it and find out tons of things that you wouldn't hear by ear and I like being able to tell my friends and family things that they haven't even heard yet.
I loved this course, this is the one course that I would talk about almost every week to my friends and family. I don't think anything should really change. I loved the teaching method and using the WSJ instead of a textbook. Seeing things hands on was great as well. It was by far the best course I have taken.
I do plan on pursuing a career in Communications. I actually had an epiphany that I would be famous some day. I figure if these youtube.com users can get well known, I am going to as well. I did have aspirations to become a news anchor but as that seems to be dying right now, I believe I'm going to try to pursue a career as a television host.
It'll happen. Keep the name Michelle Russo in mind. It'll get big.

Social Networking
I want to start off by saying that I am currently on a cell phone driving from orlando to miami to post this essay I have a myspace, facebook and twitter. I don't spend any time on myspace anymore but I do use facebook at least once or twice a week. I'm not going to lie I do think if you had to pay 5 dollars a year for facebook many people would do it. Not just teenagers but people. I believe that it helps keep everyone in touch especially after high school and college graduation. Now and days people use text and words to communicate and sound is no longer really used. I have talked to people about these social networks and most of the events they get invited to comes from all of these social networks.
So I do think that I would pay for a site especially such as Facebook. It helps to keep in touch with friends and family that I wouldn't generally call or "text" as we do so much now and days.
